Administration
Emely
I have had the honor of working in this field since 2005. I love seeing individuals reach their potential and thrive in the things they love and enjoy. In my free time I like to travel, exercise, read, hike, and hang out with family and friends. I received my Masters in Business Administration from Hawaii Pacific University in 2006. I also completed the OBM certification source from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2019.

I grew up on the Windward Side and graduated from UH Mānoa. I love trying new foods and exploring new places through travel. I’m especially interested in child development and am very excited to be part of the team. I look forward to learning and growing alongside the amazing individuals we support.

I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and their families. My goal is to see them thrive, live happily and as independently as possible. To do this end, I strive to support the families we serve and our staff to remain up-to-date with the newest techniques.

I enjoy spending time with my family and going to SF 49er football games. I also create themed birthday parties for my children and dabble with different art mediums. I love to travel to new and exciting places every year with my family.

I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst here at ABA Steps. I am originally from Michigan. I’ve been in the field of ABA for ten years and officially became a BCBA in March 2025. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active with CrossFit and spending time hiking and exploring the outdoors.

I’m currently a BCaBA with plans to become a BCBA in 2026. I am relentlessly passionate about behavior analysis and maximizing ABA’s unique ability to improve the quality of life of the children and families who I work with. My philosophy emphasizes bodily autonomy while simultaneously nurturing social connection and communication. When not having fun with the kiddos, I can be found freediving, at the beach, hiking, cooking, playing horseback polo, walking dogs, or volunteering with the Best Buddies program!
